Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Kay suffered her first stroke in July 2005 and it changed
her life overnight. She was a very
independent 80 year old but then became reliant on family and carers to help
her do almost everything. She spent five
and half months in hospital but was determined to come home.
Sadly she also had several mini strokes and two further large strokes in November 2011 and April 2013.
Every year an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. That's one person every five minutes. Most people affected are over 65, but anyone can have a stroke, including children and even babies.
Following Kay’s death the family has chosen The Stroke Association as the charity they would like to support. Your donations will help to fund their research and the vital services they provide for those who have been affected by stroke. Please give as much as you can as it will make a real difference.
