Story

Hi, Its Kayleigh. Thanks for reading.....Theo was born in 2010 with Gastroschisis, a condition meaning his bowels, bladder and stomach were on the outside of his body, he was very poorly. He spent the first 8 weeks of his life in the RVI, undergoing various operations and complications, including blood transfusions, a collapsed lung and infections. The Sick Childrens Trust's 'Crawford House' at the RVI hospital was able to provide accomodation to enable me to be close to Theo when he needed me most. I was able to stay within the hospital grounds when Theo was in intensive care. We spent Christmas and New Year there too. The staff at The SCT's Crawford House made it as special as they could, singing carols and giving gifts. This is my 2nd GNR and Luke's first. We are both running for this charity to raise money so that other families in similar situations can have the same peace of mind being so close to their poorly babies. Look out for us on the big day.....Luke will be making it look easy...I will be crawling behind him!!! Thanks everyone :)
