Story
My name is Keanu Paphiti and I'm an undergraduate at the University of Warwick. The Make-A-Wish Foundation UK is a great cause and this challenge has given me the opportunity to make a contribution towards all their efforts. Having previously trekked Mount Toubkal in Morocco I was inspired to push my limits further; the Machu Picchu challenge is an ideal way to realise this and at the same time raise money for an amazing charity. The challenge is essentially a six day trek across the Peruvian Andes, reaching heights of 4650m. On the final day of the trek we will set off early in the morning to (hopefully) see the sunrise over Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Not only will I be making a personal financial contribution, but I have been actively fundraising since mid November. It has been hard work and I appreciate all the help and generosity of those people who have already helped, and the people that will hopefully donate after reading my story! The Make-A-Wish Foundation UK greatly enrich the lives of children coping with life threatening conditions, so please dig deep and donate any amount you can afford.
