Now, this is the first time I've set up one of these pages but there's a damn good reason for this one so listen up y'all! 

BGL's www.bglgroup.co.uk partner charity is Marie Curie cancer care BGL/Marie Curie partnership an organisation most of us have no reason to have any contact with, but based on recent family experience which has brought home to me the importance of their work, I've decided to get myself involved.

The length of that involvement goes to the extent that I'm attempting the Three Peaks Challenge, which is a heck of a task given my old man knees!

The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks, respectively, in England, Wales and Scotland, within 24 hours. The Peaks are:

Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)

Scafell Pike, in England (978m)

Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1344m)

Now I've set an obtainable target and one which will make a real difference to people struggling with cancer in the UK. I'm not asking for much from anyone, just what you can give.
