Update!
Just to let you know that all three of us completed the ride. We set off at roughly 8:30 and were back in Brighton for 1:00 so not a bad time all in all. The route was great at the begining running along the coast east out of Brighton but it was shall we say a bit harsh leaving the Devils Dyke to the last 5 miles.
Thanks ever so much for sponsoring us. I'm sure what you've donated will make a big difference.
All the best,
Keith, Chris and Nick.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As you probably know, most years I do one 'event' to raise money for a good cause. Often this includes bike riding but it has been known to include a parachute jump, an assualt course and even once a run. (Oh how I hate running!) This year I've got the added bonus of my sons Chris and Nick joining me so it's shaping up to be a special day. We've chosen to do a sponsored 50 mile bike ride which loops out from Brighton and back again. I haven't had the heart to tell the boys that Brighton is surrounded by the South Downs so unless we do 50 miles on the Brighton one way system we will face some pretty steep hills along the way! At least the training is going well and it's for a good cause! The ride is in aid of the Cherish Uganda project. You can find out more details at www.cherishuganda.org but here's a quick overview:
Cherish Uganda now have 5 houses each with 8 children that are thriving in their new homes with the care and support the charity is able to give them. The money raised will really make a major difference to these 40 lives, but as the impact of what is going on within Cherish is now spreading to the surrounding peninsula, it is bringing hope and prosperity to literally thousands of people.
So... thanks for reading this far! If you want to donate some money that would be great. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. If of course you'd rather not use the web site then just let me know as I've got a paper sponsorship form as well.
Many thanks,
Keith, Chris and Nick
