Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm raising money for The Emily Jordan Foundation -
Emily was 21 years of age and about to start what I'm sure would have been a glittering career in Law but died tragically on an adventure trip before it began. She worked hard to achieve what she did but always had time for others, especially those with special needs. To reflect that caring nature and to keep her name and memory alive, her family have set up a Foundation which seeks to provide training and employment for youngsters with learning difficulties. Knowing Em and seeing how from a very young age she loved helping children with special needs, I'd love to help the Foundation set up in her name to achieve its growing number of targets which you can read about on the Foundation website (www.theemilyjordanfoundation.org.uk). So to raise money, I'm attempting to get to the top of Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world at just under 6000 metres (about 19,340 ft). It will take 6 hard days of high altitude trekking and starts on January 15th 2011.To inspire me and to help Em's Foundation I'm asking you to sponsor this mammoth personal challenge - especially at my age! All donations will go directly to the Foundation. So thank you for reading this - I hope you now feel inspired to help because this wonderful young lady deserves it - and remember that every £1 will help.
