On Thursday 19th August staff from Map Challenges are completing the 3 Peaks Challenge in 24 hours.

Keith McNally, Chris Grossmith and Lee Phillips have all been training hard.

We were asked to support a fantastic fundraising event day being held by The Engine Rooms in Skelmersdale to raise money for Cancer Research on Sunday 29th August.

The National 3 Peaks Challenge is well underway today.

Keith, Lee & Chris started climbing Ben Nevis at 3am this morning in the dark with head torches on. The climb up wasn't too bad however the descent down was brutal on their knees. On the way to Scafell Pike (the hardest climb) they will making good use of ice packs for their aching joints. It took 5 1/2 hours to climb and descend Ben Nevis.

18:45 - Keith, Lee & Chris are now on their way to Snowdon after scaling Scafell Pike in 2 hours.  This was a much harder climb than Ben Nevis and Keith hit the wall about 150m from the top.  However they have pushed on and made it to the top for a brief 5 minute stop for something to eat and a drink before descending back to the car in 1 1/2 hours.

The weather so far has been good and they have even collected donations from people walking near to the mountain.

They should reach Snowdon in the next couple of hours.

Please support them on their final leg of this Challenge by donating to Cancer Research.

We all know someone who has been affected by cancer in some way and by supporting the Engine Rooms we just want to give something back for all of the great care that they recieved during their treatment.
