Bupa Great Manchester Run 2013 · 26 May 2013 ·

The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our justgiving page.

In 2012 a diverse group of foolhardy individuals from the AZ respiratory group ran the Wilmslow half-marathon for the East Cheshire Hospice. Since then the group has disbanded with members pursuing individual running projects such as the Tatton Half Marathon, the Great North Run and the Manchester Marathon.

Now two of the original members (Dawn and Keith) have reformed to run for The Christie Hospital which I am sure you will agree is another very worthwhile cause.

We have been using our downtime since leaving AZ to focus primarily on carb-loading but with a bit of running as well and hope to complete the Manchester 10k in fine style (or at least still breathing)

We know it is a bit late in the day to seek support with only one week left to go but we hope that our friends and colleagues will dig deep to support The Christie Hospital. The site will remain open after the event to give you every chance to contribute and we will keep you updated on our progress.
