We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Having achieved a great deal of satisfaction when we completed the 2009 Hack, in terrible weather conditions, we had no hesitation in volunteering for this years Hack in support of NSPCC and Childline. This year we have got together a team of Network North members and have set ourselves a target of £5000

The walk took place on Saturday 4th September 2010 over 24 miles of the Yorkshire dales and once again we are looking to raise as much money as possible for this very worthy cause.

Here is how your donation could help vulnerable children:

* £180 could pay for a day of children's service worker on the NSPCC helpline or a supervisor on Childline.

* £292 could pay for a volunteer councillor's dayshift time.

£420 could cover a year of freephone call costs to a child who needs counselling.

*£1600 could pay for the recruitment and training of a volunteer counsellor

It costs NSPCC £4 to take a call to the Childline Service.

Each year Childline receives around 2.3 million calls. They can only answer around 66% of these due to lack of funds / resources. Imagine how it must feel to have plucked up the courage to call and not get through...

Please help me to help NSPCC  Childline fund more calls and allow them to answer every cry for help.

Every penny raised will go towards making sure that more children in the UK are better informed, better cared for and better protected

Thank you for your support.

Regards

The Network North Hack Team
