3 PEAK CHALLENGE 12TH AUGUST 2011
Well its nearly time for us to take on our next challenge. On Friday 12 August 2011 we will take on the 24 hour three Peak Challenge, starting at Ben Nevis North of the Border, then onto Scafell Pike in the Lakes and finishing off with mighty Snowdon in North Wales. This is no mean feat and takes on approx 20 miles of walking with a 20,000 ascent and descent with 450 miles of driving inbetween! We have all since been training relatively hard and have done Snowdon again and Scafell,as well as a few local walks. We are all looking forward to the challenge although a little apprehensive, maybe should have cut down on the number of pies and pints! Confirmed for this event so far are: myself, Jason & Rio Mullen, Colin McEvoy, Ste Jones, Eric Ireland, Paul McGuffy, Del Niloban & Alan Merton. Drivers: Nick Sparks & Anthony Mullen. You can see a photo of us at the top of Snowdon. As ever we appreciate any support at all to help us reach our target for the Hospital Incubator!
