Penny a mile challenge · 10 May 2013

When You Wish Upon a Star has a simple mission: to grant the Wishes of children living with a life threatening illness. Wishes have the power to transform the lives of children and families. Since 1990, we have proudly granted over 19,000 Wishes across the UK. We'd love you to be part of the magic!

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

THE CHALLENGE IS OVER!

On January 1st this year, I reset the trip computer on my bike to Zero and set myself a challenge to complete 2000-2500 miles by September 1st. Having ridden in some atrocious conditions during the winter months I am on target to achieve this goal.

I completed the Manchester to Blackpool ride in July, clocking up 2000 miles on crossing the finish line!!

On Sunday 1st September I completed 103.4 miles in 7.5 hours on the Manchester 100 ride to round off my Challenge and post a final total of 2409 miles (the equivalent of riding from Manchester to Amman in Jordan!)

Please donate what you can to help make every mile really worthwhile.

Thanks as always for your support. Don't forget Gift Aid if you are eligible!!!
