Women are still getting breast cancer and dying from it. That’s why Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer have joined forces to become the UK’s largest dedicated breast cancer research charity. And with your help, together we can put an end to breast cancer, once and for all.

Story

Hello everyone

In the UK

  • Breast cancer is the most common cancer and accounts for nearly one in three of all cancers in women. One woman in nine will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime and Breast cancer is the second biggest cause of death from cancer in women. Every year over 45,500 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer  and 12,000 women will die from breast cancer.
  • I like 1 in 3 people will know someone who may suffer from cancer and I aim to raise funds to fight this illness. Not only will I be participating in the Chicago Marathon but I intend to complete at least another 2 marathons in the same week. Ok so it's not in the same league as Eddie Izzard but I will be doing the Chicago marathon on the 10th October and have a confirmed  entry in the first Kielder marathon on the 17th October and have submitted a number of applications for a mid week race between these races.

To complete 1 marathon is an achievement but to do 3 in a week is nothing compared to the challenge of beating Breast cancer..

I will keep you updated as to my progress in training and how the races go but if you can please help me raise as much money for such a worthwill cause
