At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

13 set off to complete a 10 day event, many others doing a multiple of day stages with the aim to raise £50k for Alzheimer's. We started in the North of Scotland (St Fergus) on 4th Sept, cycled almost 300 miles over 3 days to England then 150 miles the following 2 days through the Lake District and across the Pennines (all hilly terrain against rain and prevailing winds) before getting to Leeds and a flatter 360 miles over the final 5 days to Isle of Grain in Kent. I successfully achieved all 10 days completing 810 miles with 55,000 feet climbed and 47,000 calories burnt - left knee burning, right achillies swollen but no hills undefeated, the bike was faultless and the job was done 👍. By the finish line our total fundraising had reached £38k so with the easy ride part complete there is a bit more still to do - thanks to all who supported me.

We all know people affected  please donate to help beat Alzheimer's  and Dementia
