Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our Grandson, Louis, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in February 2009, at the tender age of 2.1/2yrs old
Throughout his treatment, we have witnessed at first hand, the tireless dedication of all the staff on ward 16, now ward 4 of the new wing, at The Royal Victoria Infirmary, The RVI
We are also privileged to have been in the company of such wonderful families, and the bravest of children
We are ever so grateful for the wonderful support we have received from all, and for that, we want to try and give a small token back
Myself, and two friends, Liam Burn, and Steven Hunter, are hoping to raise funds by cycling from Lords Cricket Ground to Sacriston Colliery Cricket Ground
"THE HOME OF CRICKET to OUR HOME OF CRICKET"
The 281 mile trip, NW8 to DH7, is to take place between the 2nd and 4th of July 2010
All monies kindly donated will go to the neuroblastoma Research Department at The Royal Victoria Infirmary, The RVI
We would like to dedicate our cycle ride to all the families and children who have had to suffer through cancer
The Allen Anderson Family

We initially set a target of £5k to get our page started, but our real target is to raise £30k to cover the cost of a researcher for a year
We have received confirmation from AMR (N/E) Ltd that they will cover all "reasonable" costs of the ride - a tremendous gesture
and we now have a Doctor on our team, Doctor Anderson CBE, who has kindly sponsored us, and in addition will supply us with "Doc Andersons special saddle sore cream" - we will definately need it!
Reviewed journey with team last night, and our planned route seems to have added a couple of extra mile, and that is without getting lost?, guess we will not be in a position to confirm how many miles we have done, until we complete our journey?
29th June - Not long now, final training ride last weekend, Stanhope and back, got puncture - so glad we are going to have Brian looking after us for this trip!
Have received confirmation that England Cricket Legend Mike Gatting is going to send us on our way from Lords - how brilliant is that! - Thanks to Mike and Bob for their very kind gesture
5th July update - Bike Ride completed, in fact we arrived back in Sacriston to a wonderful welcome yesterday afternoon.
We have a few aching limbs, but we are all extremely chuffed with our achievements
We are extremely grateful to those who have supported us to date, but we are not finished, please keep donating to what is a most worthy cause, and please keep watching this page for future fundraising activity.
17th August - it is great to see that we are still receiving your support - thanks to all - and please keep giving.
