Sadly I lost my dad to cancer on the 25/11/2016. He fought a great fight, and actually beat lung cancer in 2015, unfortunately the day after the all clear, he received the devastating news that he had cancer of the oesophagus, it was then we met the staff at St. Francis, Berkhamstead. They went out of their way to make dad comfortable and as pain free as possible. They made his remaining days as happy and care free as they could and nothing was too much trouble, they kept us up to date every step of the way. Without their support we wouldn't be able to get through these next few weeks. The only way we can repay them is by raising as much money as possible. Please help to support St.Francis so they can carry on helping those in the last moments of their lives. Giving people a safe and comfortable space where they can just be a family and let the staff take worries away could make all the difference when it comes to end life care.
