On 7th November I will be walking on fire in aid of the rather wonderful Brendoncare. The coals will be burning at around 1300 degrees and no, I will not be wearing shoes. This will all take place at North Walls recreation ground (River Park) in Winchester as part of the annual Round Table fireworks celebrations.
Please be generous. Brendoncare do some truly amazing work and I'm sure you would agree, me walking on 1300 degree coals is worth a few bob. we haven't got long to raise the necesary funds so act quick!!!
Brendoncare is a registered charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people. Care is at the heart of all that we do. We are proud of our reputation for excellence in care and all our staff constantly strive to maintain this. Our aim always is to provide happiness, fulfilment and independence in line with residents' wishes.
We have 10 care centres across the south, each with its own distinctive personality. We have nine residential care homes and nursing homes for frail older people, and our first ever total care living centre, Brendoncare Knightwood, was launched in Chandlers Ford in Hampshire in summer 2006. We also provide outreach, close care and daycare services. Our care centres are located in Winchester and Alton (Hampshire), London, East Grinstead (West Sussex), Exeter (Devon), Marlborough (Wiltshire) and Aylesbury (Buckinghamshire).
Brendoncare is a respected force among charities caring for frail older people and strives to help influence the future direction of healthcare in the sector. Driven by a commitment to quality care and a belief that an innovative approach is vital, Brendoncare continues to push forward standards of care. Our latest venture, Total Care Living, is an innovative model of care which is setting new precedents and standards in the sector.
Brendoncare Clubs is a community service dedicated to enriching the quality of life of older people. We have a network of over 70 social clubs providing fun, friendship and support for older people in Hampshire, Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole.
