On Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2013, CLIC Sargent will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the most tandem parachute jumps in 24 hours and I have chosen to volunteer myself for this crazy event. Throughout the last year I have helped CLIC Sargent at different fundraising events and have helped to raise hundreds for this amazing charity. After volunteering to assist CLIC Sargent's skydive in September 2012 I've seen for myself the scary heights that the skydivers jump out at! But as well as realising what a challenge jumping from 12,000ft is, I have also met some of the service users for CLIC Sargent and heard their touching stories. Hearing their stories really moved me and inspired me to help make a difference and to help them and support them as much as I could. I personally know children who have been helped by CLIC Sargent in their battle against cancer and although I have a target of £350 to raise, I would love to smash that target and get as much as possible as I can to help support them.
