My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was first inspired to raise money to raise funds and awareness of this terrible disease back in 2009. Neil Platt was the cousin of my friend Jill. I heard through her that he was dying from MND and that he was writing an online blog. Myself and my sister Hayley started following Neil's blog and found it deeply moving.

Neil died in February 2009 aged 34 leaving his lovely wife Louise and his then 2 year old son Oscar. I have since also met other members of Neil's family and his friends who were all left devastated by his suffering and untimely death.

In September 2009, myself and Hayley held a charity auction and ball in Leeds called Lots Frocks and Dickie Bows to raise funds for the MNDA and the Sheffield Institute of Translational Neuroscience.

It has been three years now since I last raised any funds for this charity and I would love to make up for this by raising as much money as possible. I am looking forward to the challenge ahead of me and hope that you will help me to achieve my goal. Thank you for reading my story.

Please visit http://breathingfilm.com/ and http://plattitude.co.uk/ to find out a bit more about why I am supporting the MNDA on behalf of Neil's family and friends
