278km Cycle Through France- PART DEUX! · 8 June 2017

Turning Tides, previously WCHP, believe that everyone has the right to a home, regardless of the difficulties and issues they may face in their lives. We believe in showing those who need our help that the wider community are there to support them and to offer hope for a better future.

Story

Starting on 7th June 2017, I am taking part in a 278km bike ride (equivalent to 3 back to back London to Brighton’s) along with 11 colleagues, where we’ll be  cycling from Poitiers to Bergerac in France.

This is to raise money for my chosen charity, Worthing Churches Homeless Project, along with 9 local hospices and The Rockinghorse Appeal through sponsorship from our company’s clients.

For my personal fundraising target I am looking to raise at least £350+ for the WCHP.

Over the past few years the Cellular Solutions Team have raised well over £140,000 – so with your help this event will help take us over
the £180,000 mark – with the aim of reaching £250,000 over the next few years from our cycle fundraising, which will see Cellular Solutions Team having cycled the length of France!

I have chosen this charity as having just moved out of my family home and into my own flat, I’ve realised how lucky I am to be in a
position to do this. I believe everyone has the right to a safe roof over their head and as this charity is the only one supporting homeless people in my new local community I felt this would be a good one to choose.

Cellular Solutions will also match like for like any funds we raise up to £5,000.  Our overall total fundraising target for this event is £32,000.

Every donation will help towards this figure that will make a significant difference to those less fortunate than ourselves. Every penny donated goes to charity and not towards the costs of the event thanks to sponsorship of the event by one of our network partners.

So please dig deep guys- I did this ride 2 years ago and said I'd never do it again, but yet here I am, and apparently there are more hills this time... I also haven't ridden the bike since 2015 so wish me luck! EEEK!

Oh and hopefully I won't fall in any ditches this time....

LOVE!
