Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. We rely on donations to fund our work but with one baby admitted to neonatal care every five minutes we don’t have the resources to reach every baby who needs us. Your donation can help Bliss ensure every baby gets the best care.

Story

Ok, all completed in an amazing 23hrs 18 mins (a much better time than we anticipated!)

Have to admit I was completely knackered at the end, however, I think I have a new hobby of walking mountains in the rain, pitch black and gale force winds !  It all adds to the fun

Many Thanks to all who have sponsored us and supported this great cause.

The revised/actual timetable is below

08.00: Drive to Fort William

16.30: begin ascent of Ben Nevis

19.15: reach summit of Ben Nevis – 1,344m

21.45: complete descent – 10.25 miles in total – and drive 343 miles to Cumbria

03.30: arrive Wasdale Head, Lake District, and begin the ascent of Scafell Pike in the dark

05.30: reach summit of Scafell Pike – 978m

07.20: complete descent – 7.25 miles in total , drive 214 miles to North Wales

11.45: arrive Llanberis, Snowdonia National Park

13.55: reach summit of Snowdon– 1,085m

15.50: complete descent – nine miles in total

Sounds easy sitting here typing it (WELL NOT REALLY!) The Great British roads, our fitness levels and the weather on three mountains, in three countries will have a huge bearing on the success of this challenge.

Donations will be for Bliss, the special care baby charity who provide vital support and care to premature and sick babies across the UK.
