Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have just done my skydive and it was the most exciting thing I have done in my life; it certainly beats rock climbing and canoeing. The thrill of jumping out of the plane is not possible to describe and then the peace and quiet just after the parachute opens and the view is absolutely beautiful.  Then the fun begins as you pull the controls of the parachute which sends you into such a fast spin that you are nearly horizontal with the parachute (see the photographs).  Unfortunately it is over too quickly and you just want to do it over again.

I have now reached my target, and if you take gift aid into account the total will be nearer £6000.  However there is still time for you to donate if you wish.  Halton Haven Hospice is a fantastic place, where they care for seriously ill patients, making their visit as comfortable as possible and they are in desperate need of additional funding.  So please dig deep into your pockets and donate as much as you can

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I would like to acknowledge all the individuals who have so far donated and in addition would like to mention De Soutter Medical Ltd, a Buckinghamshire based company for their very generous donation of £500.  I would also like to thank Karalius Brothers Waste Ltd, who are a family run metal recycling Company in Widnes who have donated £200.  Julie Karalius said that "We do, whenever possible support this very worthy Charity which I know is close to the hearts of Halton residents and beyond".  A Chichester firm Limbo who manufacture waterproof cast and dressing protectors have sponsored £150.

I make a special mention for my wife Anne who has helped me do this and has been put under a lot of pressure, she has been so patient.  Also the rest of my close family who have stepped into the breach when I have needed help and also been active in getting me donations

A special mention also has to go to Chris Dyer and her family who have helped in a lot of different ways, giving up their time and donating lots of money.  This is from a family I only met a few months ago who have worked tirelessly for the cause.  Thank you Chris xxxx.

Thank you all again, but keep donating
