Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page
I am raising as much as I can For Corinne Huttons' "Finding Your Feet" charity. Below is a brief outline of her and her charity. She is an inspirational woman.
Corinne Hutton - a super-fit, single mum of one from Renfrewshire, Scotland - fell ill in June 2013 after developing acute pneumonia then septicaemia. Surgeons were forced to amputate both her hands and her legs below the knee.
Instead of dwelling on her situation, Corinne and her family set up ‘Finding Your Feet’ from her hospital bed, a charity to help others who find themselves stuck “in limbo” after major limb amputation or who face life-changing trauma but do not have the support network from which Corinne feels she has benefited.
Finding Your Feet is about providing that support network to others who need it and aims to help individuals of all ages facing similar situations to ‘find their feet’ again in life, through counselling, respite, financial assistance, social support and anything else required.
As a foot note, part of the money (£450) raised will also go to the WWF, as I had to sneak an entry into the event through the WWF charity.
THANKS FOR READING THIS, IT IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.
