For a while now I have wanted to do something to 'give back' a little something to Rotherham Special Care Baby Unit.

On 12th December 2009 my niece Scarlett was born 3 months prematurley.

She weighed just 2lb in weight and spent her first few days in intensive care. At times she was very poorly indeed, but thanks to the Rotherham Special Care baby unit, Scarlett will be 3 in December, is a completly healthy, happy, clever little girl.

I am running the half marathon, which is quite a personal challenge. I have never been a runner and I used to write my own notes to get out of cross country running at school.

If I can run these 13 miles of hell and raise some money for a good cause, then thats a job well done, especially if it helps other familys through their own tough times.
