My ´Rise to the Challenge´ for Sport Relief here in Portugal is to run the Lisbon Half Marathon on Sunday 21st March! Feel free to make your donation to a great cause - punching in your credit card number is a lot easier than creeping out of the house every Sunday morning when cb and kids are still fast asleep to train in the wind and rain! In Kenya, £2 could feed a child orphaned by AIDS for one day.
In Africa, £5 could pay for a mosquito net to protect a mother and baby from contracting malaria while they sleep.
In th UK, £10 could pay for a volunteer to visit an isolated older person so they feel less alone.
Well - I did it!! My first ever half marathon in under 2 hours - great atmosphere but bloody hard!! A new world record was set today at 58:22 - hard to believe twice the speed I did.
