My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My friends & family all know our story but those who don't I want you to know why it's so important for me to be doing my 'bit' trying to help raise awareness about this horrific disease and much needs funds for support for families going through this and much needed research.

In April 2011 my darling husband Noel (54) was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer with liver mets, meaning it was too late for life saving surgery. He went through 2 rounds of chemo but his body was physically unable to take any more.

In August 2011 we renewed our wedding vows, Nov 4th 2011 we held a fundraising night and online auction all hoping to raise funds & awareness.

Sadly, Nov 25th my soulmate finally lost his war with this vile disease. In his memory I am determined to raise as much awareness and much needed funds. Thank you for helping me.

Pancreatic Cancer is known as 'The silent killer' the symptoms unfortunately missed until too late.

5 year survival rate is 3%

Pancreatic Cancer is the 5th leading cause of cancer death in the UK.

82% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the UK will die within a year as most are diagnosed with late stage disease.
