Dear Family and Friends, I am giving up my push up bra, my hair straightners and most of my make up and I am for the first time going to trek and climb Mount Sinai!! I have never done anything like this before and i really doubt i ever will again. Why do it now? Well I meet a lovely young boy last week called David and he touched my heart and hopefully you will be able to help me raise money for other children like David to do the simple things in life. I have placed a photo of David for you to view.
David is 12 years old and a student at Victoria Education Centre. David has cerebral palsy and epilepsy and uses a wheelchair most of the time. Like any other boy his age he eats, lives and breathes sport. Thanks to the work of Livability, David is able to take part in his favourite pastimes – football and swimming. He loves spending time in the special sensory swimming pool. Many of his muscles are in constant spasm and the specially warmed water can sometimes be the only thing that enables him to relax. David plays ‘ambulant’ football using a special walking frame, and is thrilled to finally be part of the sporty crowd - emulating the football skills of his favourite player, Frank Lampard!
