On Sunday, June 19 I’m taking part in the Great North Swim again and raising money to support Revive MS Support. The Great North Swim is the country’s largest mass participation swimming event with over 5,000 swimmers taking part. The event involves swimming one mile in Lake Windermere.
Revive MS Support is a charity, based in Glasgow, provides vital information, support and specialist therapies for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis. These therapies include:
· Physiotherapy;
· Aromatherapy;
· Reflexology;
· Acupuncture;
· Oxygen Therapy; and
· Speech & Language Therapy.
Delivery of this crucial work takes about £5,000 per week and I’m hoping that we can do something to help them continue the wonderful support they provide.
Those of you who supported me two years ago when I last entered the event will understand this is personally important to me as my sister Clare regularly benefits from physiotherapy sessions at Revive MS Support’s centre in Maryhill.
