<p>Well,&nbsp;we managed to finish the Great North Run in 2 hrs 20mins.&nbsp; It was an emotional day, but it was fantastic to see Robbie and Peggy smiling on the finish line.&nbsp; We are hoping to have raised a few thousand pounds for The Emma Newton Fund which has been set up in Emma's memory to provide grants for youngsters trying to make their way in perfoming arts, so that they can share their joy and passion with the world, just as Emma wanted to do.</p> <p>The coverage by the BBC was great and hopefully with&nbsp;awareness raised&nbsp;for the Emma Newton Fund more good things can happen to help the fund achieve its goal.&nbsp; Afterall,&nbsp;the world would be a dull place&nbsp;without the arts of&nbsp;drama, dance and song.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
