When an adult or child has been diagnosed with a complex or incurable condition, Havens Hospices can provide the care they need, ‘Making every day count’. Our specialist Care Teams can support them in the comfort of their own home and through our hospices, Fair Havens and Little Havens.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Havens Hospice started caring for my mum in 1999 for respite care as she was suffering from progressive brain disease. She had been diagnosed with a brain tumour in 1990 when she collapsed and had convulsions at home. Luckily at the time the tumour was removed and she made a good recovery but over the following years she deteriorated and my dad was caring more and more for her. Respite care started periodically in 1999 and she lost her battle with the disease in May 2000. This respite care supported the whole family and especially supported my Dad, who unfortunately has also past away since her death. The final weeks were difficult but the Hospice were such wonderful support.

I hope that they will both be looking down on me feeling very proud.

Thank you all for your support and supporting Havens Hospice
