Water is desperately needed over in Foogtprints. Having been there for three weeks in February I have witnessed the daily struggle to ensure there is enough water for everything from drinking, cooking, and washing.

As part of an overall plan of managing our water resources and the harvesting of water it has been seen that as well as seeking water we need to harvest and store as much water as possible - especially with the rains coming shiortly (here's hoping!!). Footprints has one 65,000 litre underground water reservoir which has been very successful. It has been seen as essential that we look to excavate another one increasing our capacity to harvest and store water.

A new underground reservoir will cost £3,000 to dig, t line with stone, water proof with cement and then to cover with a concrete cap (to both secure but also to prevent evaporation).

Time is of the essence. With the help of Sophie Griffiths we are well on the way. We just need your help to get us up to the total needed to fund the project.
