To encourage you to sponsor me for my third and final marathon I've asked the lovely people at Debenhams, Red Letter Days, Kitbag, Firebox, Buyagift and Boden to donate a few prizes that you can win by successfully guessing the time it will take me to run 26.2 miles around London's streets on 25th April 2010.
All you need to do when sponsoring me is guess the time you think I'll run the marathon in and the seven closest times will win a prize. So what's up for grabs?
RED LETTER DAYS: £50 voucher
BODEN: £50 voucher
KITBAG: £50 voucher
DEBENHAMS: Morphy Richards Intellisteam
FIREBOX: 2 x eXplorer power chargers
BUYAGIFT: Bungee Jump
All you have to do is when sponsoring me add your guess (hours, minutes and seconds) to the comment box provided - I'll contact the winners after 25th April.
If you want a pointer as to the time I might achieve, I ran 3hrs 57 in 2005 and 3hrs 43 in 2006. You need to bear in mind my legs are now four years older and a stress fracture ruined my marathon plans in 2009!
If you can spare a few quid to sponsor me I'd be exceptionally grateful. Through your generous donations the various 10k, half marathons and marathons I've run have amassed over £4,000 for Breast Cancer Campaign, a hugely worthwhile cause.
Now for the technical bit:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So if you can, please dig deep and donate now.
