London to Paris Bike Ride 2013 · 17 July 2013 to 21 July 2013 ·

Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

On 17 July 2013 I will be starting a cycle ride to Paris with the aim of raising as much money for the charity Sense as possible – my target is £1,500.  You can read all about their work here (http://www.sense.org.uk/) but essentially they provide an incredible amount of support to children and adults with deafblindness.  My own nephew Jack suffers from deafness and whilst not directly involved with this charity, it’s charities such as this and other institutions that help children and their families in an incalculable way.

If you can spare even the smallest amount it would make a huge difference to the charity and the peoples lives they help.  Thank you for your support.

I will of course be providing updates and pictures along the route and keeping you abreast of every injury I collect.  As an added incentive and for those that like to see me put my hand in my pocket, I'll be giving 50p for every £1 donated.  An opportunity for you to bankrupt me as well as laugh at me in lycra.
