I have been doing a few challenges over the last few years
but have not previously asked for sponsorship from friends and family. 

However, this challenge far outweighs those that have gone
before!

Therefore, having plucked up the courage to sign up and also
to complete my qualifying swim I feel it is time to ask you all for your kind
donations.  Rest assured this will be my
only fundraising challenge so will not be asking you for any further
contributions to any other madcap ideas!

I have chosen two charities: Motor Neurone Disease and
Macmillan Cancer and both of them, in addition to myself, will be very grateful
for your support.
