<p><span style="color: #1c1c1c; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 11pt; mso-ansi-language: EN; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">On 11th March 2012 a team from JCB will swim the equivalent distance of the English Channel from </span><span style="color: black; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 11pt; mso-ansi-language: EN;">Shakespeare Beach, Dover to Cap Gris Nez, France - 22 miles (1416 lengths), on top of this we are also registered to take take part in the London 2012 Olympic challenge and so as a team we hope to complete a total of 2012 lengths.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: black; font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; font-size: 11pt;">As part of this challenge I have set myself the target of completing 192 lengths (3 miles) in 90 minutes. Having not done more than a few lengths of the pool for about 5 years, I saw this challenge as an oppurtunity to motivate myself to get some of my swimming fitness back from my younger days and hopefully raise some money for the NSPCC in the process. Training started slowly but the last few weeks have been good and although it's not 'in the bag' yet, I am confident that with a bit of luck I'll get 192 lengths done in around 87 minutes, fingers crossed!</span></p>
