Hi,
My name is Kevin and I am sure that you probably all know me, at least in passing anyway.
I have decided to cycle from London to Paris in three days in aid of the Child Bereavement Charity. I am not what you would call in 'peak condition' but this is my story and reason for doing this crazy thing.
I have three kids. Two boys and a new, beautiful little girl. However, my oldest son, Logan died nearly three years ago on the 27th of December 2006. He was a miracle in every sense of the word. He should never have made it out of the delivery suite and once he had we where told he would be lucky to last a day. That day became a week and that week became three wonderful years.
Unfortunately our time had to end. When Logan died I thought that I dealt with it well. I didn't. I blocked it all out and eighteen months later I had the hardest time of my life when grief hit me like a sledgehammer. Losing somebody close to you is hard. Losing a child is possibly the hardest thing in the world to deal with and it never goes away.
In raising this money I am hoping to help people who need it at an awful time of their lives. If you can help me do that then the world will be a brighter place for more people
