BLUES STAFF ARE UP FOR A MACMILLAN ‘FEAST’ OF GOLF !
Staff at Birmingham City FC are competing in Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘Longest Day Golf’ Challenge and their team includes Club Chef Andy Clayton. Andy is used to serving up great food for guests at the club, but this time his colleagues Kevin Smith, Adam Brookes and Joe Parry are joining him to ‘cook up’ four rounds of golf for Macmillan in one day !
The intrepid golfers are playing their 4 rounds on Friday 11th June at Olton Golf Club , where Club Vice President Michael Wiseman is a member.
Birmingham City’s fitness ‘guru’s are also providing fitness tip’s for the challenge of playing 72 holes, hitting over 300 shots and walking around 20 miles on the day !
Steve Dourass, Area Fundraising Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support said “ Macmillan’s Longest Day Golf provides a really achievable challenge for golfers , and really helps raise vital life changing funds. The people we support are facing the biggest challenge of their lives and challenging yourself for one day will help make such a difference – thank you so much to Andy, Kevin , Adam and Joe for taking this on. Our charity partnership with Birmingham City Football Club is really encouraging communities to participate in many of our fundraising events and helping to improve the lives of people living with cancer “
