My story

Below's the regular blurb about what happens with your donations, etc.

So why should you sponsor me? Good question! Two reasons - the most important is that it's for a great cause and your donations will really make a difference. The second might be more sadistic. After all, think of the hopeless state my calves and hamstrings are going to be in after the best part of a thousand steps. Isn't that worth a little contribution? So I'll be trying to simulate the conditions of the vertical run as best I can in the next few weeks to prepare, and when people thought I was nuts for climbing every church tower on every holiday I've been to - well, it was just unwitting preparing for this, huh? So make a difference, change lives, etc. If you can, also please sponsor/encourage Alex Lorincz and Garry Bourke, who are also doing the vertical run with me. They will almost certainly be quicker and in better shape, so side with the underdog, eh?
