Part of a large group of people to complete a trekking challenge in the name of our Darren Macfarlane.

In November 2015 NEWSAR played a pivotal role in the search that took place to try and find Darren safe and well.

Shortly after Darren was reported missing Chris and his team took to the hills and the water working through the night and the following days; desperately trying to find Darren and bring him home safe and sound.....

As a keen walker and climber, Darren had the upmost respect for NEWSAR and the individuals that formed their team. 

I truly appreciate how much time, effort and dedication each team member sacrifices to become trained and ready to come to our rescue in the hour of need. Something before this event I had no regard for.

Although, Chris and his team couldn't bring us a positive outcome to the search that took place on the 9th of November. We will always be truly grateful for their efforts
