<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>As most of you know my daughter Georgia was born profoundly deaf 8 years ago. Whilst still having many challenges every day the quality of her life is something we never believed possible all those years ago! There have been many hard, challenging and even sad days along the way but the way Georgie has risen to the challenge makes Sam and I so proud!</p> <p>We are so proud too of the invaluable support we have received from&nbsp;some very special friends and family! Thank you, thank you, thank you!</p> <p>But it has all been made possible by the amazing surgery performed by Chris Raine! Georgie's cochlear implants are the nearest thing to a miracle that we are ever likely to see! She not only has hearing but is also able to speak just like you and I! So well that&nbsp;there have been occasions in the park when strangers have&nbsp;disputed whether she is actually deaf at all!</p> <p>We can never repay Chris and The Ear Trust for the difference they have made to our lives but, hopefully, my efforts in the Manchester 10k will help towards giving another child the precious gift he has given to my special little girl!
