SPONSORED WALK UPDATE

Hello everybody. Thanks so much for all the lovely and nice messages and for most of all for sponsoring me. I deid my walk on Sunday. My mum and Nana took me to Scotland on Saturday and we stayed in The GlenClova Hotel at night and got up early to start our walk.

We started with Mayer. At the top of Mayer there is the ridge across to Driesh as it was too dangerous. 2 hours into the journey the wind picked up to 60mph (we found this out as soon as we got back to the hotel). Luckily for me,Mum and Nana we met 2 other walkers at the start of our walk, they were called Dave and Chris. They walked with us. We all had to take shelter in a crack in some rocks together as the wind had started getting really bad. Lots of walkers kept walking past us heading back down and told us it was wild up there.Dave and Chris were going to turn back and do the walk another day but when my nana told them that we couldnt do it another day they said they would do it with and help us but that there was no way we could do the cross over to Dreish. It was far too dangerous.

After we left the sheltered rocks it got really bad. We kept getting blown over. It really hurt our faces, the rain was like needles and we couldnt hear because of the noise and it was really scary.

I didnt think i would be able to do it anymore and i was crying and wanting to go back but Dave and Chris and Mum and Nana kept telling me it wasnt long to go.

Finally we seen the summit. It was a high and really tough bit to walk and i didnt think i could do it but Chris and Dave said i could. My Nana decided she couldnt do that bit so she followed the way she came and went back and took shelter at the rocks to wait for us. Dave Chris and Mum helped me up. Every step was so hard and i couldnt stop crying because of the sore bits on my face and the wind kept blowing me over. Dave and Chris kept saying 'Its just there Khristian, where the pile of rocks are, thats it, then you have done it'. And guess what.......................I DID IT AND ALL FOR THE LOVE OF AUNTY IRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was sad i didnt get to do Dreish because if it wasnt windy then i could have but everybody said it was impossible.im still very proud of myself for doing it. When i got back to the hotel that night nobpdy could believe that i did it and thats when we found out that the winds were 60mph. I made £50 at the hotel for my sponsership from waiters, the manager and a waitress and some tourists.

Theres no way i could have done it if it wasnt for Dave and Chris. My Nana said if it wasnt for meeting them then theres no way we would have continued once the bad weather started. It was way to dangerous. They didnt need to help me but they did so if you are reading this Dave and Chris I just want to say thankyou so much for everything and thankyou EVERYBODY for all your support.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hello everybody. This is my best picture of me and aunty Iris. We were having our lunch out after a trip to the zoo. There was uncle dave, mum and my little sister too but you cant see them in the photo.

Aunty Iris is gone now because she died of cancer in March. I really really miss her and so does my little sister. Even when she was sick she was always happy and she was very brave. We did everything together. I love her so so much and will never ever forget her. Instead of being sad all the time i decided to do something to make her proud so im walking 2 mountains called Mayer and Driesh in Scotland on the 2nd of june. My mum and Nana are going to take me there and walk it with me. I know that she was proud of me anyway but i want to do something really special for her because she was a really special person and i love her so much.

I like doing this too because even though Uncle Dave is sad all the time everytime i tell him i got more sponsors he smiles and he calls me his little hero and it makes him happy and everybody else in my family. My aunty Iris was the real hero though.

All the money i raise is going to Cancer Research because it was my Aunty Irises favourite charity and i want to help them to be able to help other people so maybe 1day somebody might be able to keep their best aunty.

I hope you will be as nice as to sponsor me please.

So far i have raised nearly £500 in a week from family, friends and shops. Im going to get loads more by going to every shop i know. I dont have a target really, i just have 4 weeks to raise as much as i can.

Thank you for reading my story about aunty Iris.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
