Story

This year I wanted to do something big, something that could really raise money for a great cause. I decided to light-foot it over 2012 miles of the world's tarmac to raise as much as possible for Save the Children. That's the challenge.

To achieve it, I'll need to average 5.5 miles every day for the 366 days of the 2012. Along the way I'll be paying my own way to tackle the Barcelona Marathon in March, the London Marathon in April and the Berlin Marathon in September. Along the way I'll also be doing the Brighton Half Marathon and a few others. My aim is to raise just one pound for every mile I cover. Every penny that goes onto that total will drive me on, so no matter what you can spare, it all counts. It all makes a difference.
