I have registered to participate in the inaugural Yas 10K Run on Saturday 26 November at the Yas Marina circuit.
The Yas Run will take place under the floodlights of the Yas Marina Circuit Formula 1™ Grand Prix track and I have chosen to raise money for a UK based charity called CBM which is one of the world's leading disability and development agencies.
There will be entertainment and health clinics in the village for both spectators and participators to enjoy so it’s the perfect opportunity to enter yourself, get fit and have fun on your own or with, family, friends and colleagues.
CBM acts upon the needs and rights of people with disabilities. Through their network of local partners they support 800 projects across more than 90 of the poorest countries of the world. In 2009 CBM reached out to more than 23 million people who were living with or were at risk of a disability.
My father-in-law Dr Bill McAllister launched CBM UK in 1996 and is the National Director hence my choice of charity to support.
