Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the L.I.V.E.S Charity, who I am a First Responder for.&nbsp;As those of you who know me will understand, this type of physical activity is unexpected! That said, if Chris Moyles can do it.....</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>First Reponders are volunteers who are called by the Ambulance Service control room and arrive ahead of the ambulance. We provide initial patient assessment, treatment&nbsp;and life support before the ambulance or paramedic arrives.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Outside of the major towns and cities&nbsp;an ambulance may be 45 minutes away, a delay which&nbsp;could&nbsp;be life threatening for someone with a serious medical condition, such as heart attack, stroke, breathing difficulties or with a serious injury.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The LIVES Charity provides training and equipment&nbsp;for this valuable service.
