Story

On 21st June, Team Killik consisting of Mike Savage, Fred Robinson, Dan Dowding, Jan Wood and Jer O'Mahony will take part in the 520km cycle from London to Paris.

This event is proudly supported by Killik & Co (www.killik.com)

The London-Paris is recognised as one of the world's most exciting cycling events open to the public and is the closest the amateur rider can get to the Tour de France experience. 450 cyclists will take part in this event from Hampton Court to The Eiffel Tower. This incredible challenge attracts amateurs, leading cyclists, sporting greats and the best from the business world.

We have been training for many months now, through the cold and rain of that long winter, in order to get the fitness levels to peak performance. We have endured countless 'spinning' classes and gym sessions. This event is not to be taken lightly! More information about the challenge can be found at:

http://www.londres-paris.com/  Please support us and our cause by digging deep and clicking the ‘donate’ button! All support is greatly appreciated.

We are completing this sporting event for a GREAT and DESERVING cause! War Child is a non-governmental organisation founded in the UK 1993, which focuses on providing assistance to children in areas of conflict and post-conflict. War Child UK exists to:

Support and rehabilitate child victims of war and address the on-going consequences of conflict on children. War Child UK does this by working with local communities, their organisations and local authorities in both conflict and post-conflict areas to support children and the people they depend upon. Their aims are to ensure sustainable security for children, promote child supportive livelihood opportunities and address the developmental needs of the most vulnerable and marginalised children. War Child UK currently works in Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, Iraq and Uganda. http://www.warchild.org.uk/. The hope is for their great work to be extended to Syria as soon as is possible given the appalling backdrop there.
