When patients in London suffer life-threatening injury, only our team can provide them with the help they need. With your support, we can perform complex procedures to save lives where others can’t. We can get there in time to make a difference and provide hope for the patient and their loved ones.

Story

On a Thursday afternoon in October 2009 I was unhappily run over by a car on the Cromwell Road in London. I had all my ribs broken, my right hip shattered, both lungs collapsed and my spine was also broken.

London's Air Ambulance luckily were able to land on the roof of the Sainsbury's there and happily for me, they saved my life by getting me quickly to the trauma unit at the Royal London Hospital.

I spent the first few weeks not understanding that I was really injured, and the following 8 months using anything that could possibly make me walk again.

Now that I have had the 2nd and 3rd operations on my spine, I am hoping to WALK 5km in May, to raise money for the Air Ambulance. I'll be dressing up as Supergirl so surely that is worth a £fiver!

It has been great having so much support during the last 2 and a half years, but if you can spare a few pounds for this charity I will think you are super too.
