<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: black; font-family: Arial;">I'm sure most of you know by now that Kelly is staying at Portsmouth Queen Alexander hospital as she has been diagnosed with <span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Hemolytic-uremic syndrome</span> (HUS).</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: black; font-family: Arial;">HUS is a disorder that occurs when an infection in the digestive system produces toxic substances that destroy red blood cells, causing kidney injury. Kelly is currently undergoing a several procedures a day to try and stabilise her condition, this includes Plasma Exchange, Blood Transfusions and Kidney Dialysis. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: black; font-family: Arial;">The Plasma Exchange alone cost over &pound;6,000 a treatment and she has to have this once a day over a minimum of 2 weeks. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: black; font-family: Arial;">The staff in the High Dependency Ward at Portsmouth Queen Alexander have been nothing but great so we are trying to raise as much money as possible to say thank you to them for supporting her and our family as well as they have.&nbsp;<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt; color: black; font-family: Arial;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p>So please dig deep and donate now.</p>
