So we completed the Silverstone half marathon in just over 2hours, took 4days for my legs to recover properly though! Big fundraising push starting now so we can reach that £2000 each for the Royal Marsden. A HUGE thankyou to everyone who has sponsored us so far, it is going to a very good cause :)
Matt and I have taken up the silly challenge of trying to run the London Marathon in 2011. We have started training and it is proving particularly difficult in the snow! Only a few problems so far;
1. I can't physically go up an incline
2. Matt's had a nipple issue!
3. Slippy and cold snow
But the animals we've seen on the long runs, the fresh air, the feeling that we have run 10, actual, whole miles, the down hill bits and the attempts to remember who we are doing this for, have kept us going!
We are raising money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Care charity and hope that you will sponsor us and give anything that you can to support this amazing charity. Supporting will help to keep the hospital at the leading edge of cancer treatment, research and care.
40,000 people every year use the Royal Marsden Hospital to try and beat cancer and we hope with the funds we raise we will help some people spend more time with family and friends and less time in hospital.
