<div><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: small;">For the second year running Kingsdale FC of the Orpington Bromley and District Sunday League take on a team of Charlton Athletic Legends on May 20th, at Cray Valley's Badgers Sports Ground in Eltham</span><span style="font-size: small;">, in aid of both clubs favoured charity Demelza Hospice Care For Children.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>But not only is this game taking place but prior to the game the Kingsdale Reserves will be taking on a team of Kingsdale Legends in what we hope will be a great day of football and raise a lot of money for Demelza Hospice. The games had to be rescheduled after the original date was postponed due to the pitch at Dartford being waterlogged.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: small;">Ever since Kingsdale have reformed in 2009, the club have been involved in raising money for Demelza, including taking part in sky dives and charity runs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>At the end of their first season of reforming Kingsdale played their first ever charity game against fellow OBDSFL side London City, where money raised was donated to Demelza.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>At the end of last season the club became more ambitious and played a charity game against a team of Charlton Legends to raise money for Demelza.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The Charlton squad were so impressed that day with the organisation and dedication of the Kingsdale lads, they wanted to have another game this season to try and raise more money for Demelza. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>With a second game taking place the challenge for Kingsdale will be an even bigger and we’re hoping that as many people as possible can turn up and support the cause.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: small;">Kingsdale have not just taken parts in events for Demelza, they have also visited the site in Eltham.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The last two Christmases have seen the Kingsdale players donate to an inter club appeal that they have called ‘Xmas Gifts For Demelza’, and this year they arranged for Santa to turn up to hand out the gifts along with some of the players.</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: small;">Demelza is a very worthy cause and one the club feels very strongly about.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The work carried out by those at Demelza is nothing short of incredible.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Demelza cares for children and young people who are not expected to live till they are 18.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>They also provide support to the family of the affected person.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The Demelza motto is ‘adding life to days, when days cannot be added to life’.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In the clubs experience in their visits to Demelza, it is amazing how the people that work their maintain a positive atmosphere when many of the players were visibly effected because the thought of seeing a child who is not going to see 18 is an upsetting experience.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Demelza are not guaranteed Government help and need £7.5 million a year to run it 3 sites, so please give as generously as you can, if you’re not able to attend the match, to help raise the much needed funds so these people can continue their incredible and inspiring work.</span></span></div>
