Kingsland/Legacy Wines "Great Wall of China" Trek · 19 April 2013

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

The Trek is now underway and the team will be doing a daily blog for those wishing to keep track of their progress:
http://kwslegacycharitytrek.wordpress.com/

We are aiming to raise a total of £30,000 for the very under-funded charity Brain Tumour Research by trekking the Great Wall of China in April 2013.

A team of employees from both Kingsland and Legacy Wines are being sponsored to endure a vigorous 5 day adventure, trekking over 7 hours a day and walking a total distance of over 50km!
The cost of the trip is being paid for by a combination of the team member and the company, therefore all donations made will go directly to the charity.

The Brain tumour research charity is underfunded and often overlooked, receiving less than 1% of national cancer research spending. Therefore it may come as a surprise that in the UK more children and people under 40 die of a brain tumour than any other cancer, with over 16,000 diagnosed every year.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, all donations are gratefully received to help us achieve or exceed our target.
