Story

Kingsley Royal and Phil Boddy are running the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 20th March at 10.05am. The race is a total of 13.1 miles with the route taking us both round the Reading area, so please support us along the way!

We are running for The Oxford Transplant Foundation, which is an independent charity established to raise funds for the sole benefit of patients and staff of the Oxford Transplant Centre.  The Foundation raises funds that are used to enhance the Centre’s facilities and to promote research in organ transplantation. It is devoted to the dissemination of information about the latest medical developments and their implications for improving patient care.

The transplant procedures undertaken at the Oxford Transplant Centre include kidney transplantation, pancreas transplantation and pancreatic islet transplantation. They have strong links with the Nuffield Department of Surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital, and they work closely with the Donor Transplant Coordinators.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us both and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now as this is our 3rd Half Marathon in a year and thanks for your support!
